What does this planet represent?
IPluto has a very specific agenda: to destroy and transform. It is the part of us that conceals, protects, and discovers our core truths and demons. It is relentless in its search for the truth and meaning. Whichever house Pluto falls in will expose in what arena someone is likely to experience major disasters, devastations, deaths, betrayals, and ultimately breakthroughs. Needless to say, this is a painful experience. But, the lessons we learn undoubtedly transform us for the better. That is, if we are careful to not swirl the drain and get stuck in our darkness.
Feeling & Healing vs. Self-Destruction
Imagine a young child running toward you shouting in dismay, "I have a splinter!" As you reach for those sharp, shiny, tweezers you see her tense up. "No! No! That will hurt! Please, just leave it!" she pleads as she hides her finger. As much as you wish you didn't have to remove it, you know it's gotta happen! Welcome to Pluto territory.
This is the planet that looks at everything unhealthy and detrimental that we've grown attached to and says, "Ok, this is going to hurt. . . " Without hesitation it pierces through the skin directly towards that which hurts the most, and attempts to rip it out. It's always painful, usually unwanted, but always necessary.
